The Mary River Dam issue is slowly making an impact on the Brisbane media.
A recent online poll on ABC Brisbane collected 2120 votes in total on the issue - the largest response in recent times. The outcome was 77% against the proposition that building more dams in SE Queensland is the solution to Brisbane's water problems.
There have now been been numerous radio and television interviews on the issue.
To date the Gympie Times and ABC rural (Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay) have provided the most comprehensive reporting of the issue. The Courier Mail has eventually noticed the issue and is starting to provide some good news coverage. They are now running several blogs related to water and specifically the Traveston Crossing Dam proposal.
