More than 3000 people of all ages and all sides of politics attended the hugely successful No Dams rally in Gympie.
Important announcements included the formation of a council of Mayors in opposition to the Dam proposal, and the announcement by Federal MP Alex Solmlay that he would encourage the the Federal government to use it's environmental legislative powers to overturn any decision to build the dam.
