Saturday 16th September
There will be a serviced camp on the flats in front of the Upper Kandanga School (toilets, horse water, etc.,). Follow the signs from the township of Kandanga.
There will also be a concert on the Saturday night with
- bands
- singers
- poets
- comedians
- food and drink at reasonable rates
Sunday 17th September
The ride will begin on Sunday morning at 9:00 am sharp.
In Kandanga, the riders will be addressed by some speakers who will outline the situation, and who will also thank everyone for their outstanding support.
Be prepared to ride into Kandanga, duration of the ride being two (2) hours and you will travel through some magnificent country. The ride then goes back above the valley floor and returns to the starting point.
There is an entry fee of
- $5 for children
- $10 for adults
- $20 for families

Footnote: The chief organiser of this ride, Mr Peter Spottwood, has travelled a distance of 3,000 km mustering support and he has spoken with residents of 120 towns. He has asked fellow Queenslanders to help the people in the Mary Valley and surrounding areas, who are being affected by this dam proposal, and has been met with overwhelming support.
From the NSW border to Bouldercombe, Calliope to Esk, people have rallied to the call.
