Rush out and get a copy of "For the Love of Mary" - the CD of songs and poems hailing our blessed Mary River.
If there was ever a need for a pick-me-up in this on-going campaign, this CD is the thing to do it. Our admiration and thanks to the musicians, poets and organising volunteers, particularly Tony Hawkyard, who managed to get this project off the ground and into the valley.
On one of those "down" days, just listening to the CD will give you the chance you need to take a deep breath, regain your focus and head for the frontline again - that is, getting through every day one at a time.
The sentiments on the CD are wide and varied but all strike a chord, and they all make a difference. Well done guys and gals!! |
