thanks for posting that Shirley. We are planning a media event in Brisbane involving the Knit for Mary scarf and are looking for folks to help us out. We will be unrolling the scarf along the Brisbane river up to the door of the Senate inquiry. We will need at least 100 volunteers to make this happen.
We are planning on hiring a bus to leave the Valley early on Thursday am to arrive at the hearing area around 8am. The cost woud be about $10 per person.There will also be an opportunity to sit in on the hearings. Apparently the hearing room only holds 30-40 people but people can be rotated in and out.
