For the many who were just too sick of being lied to by the Qld Govt and QWIPL (Qld Water Infrastructure P/L) to come along today, here is a brief synopsis.

As usual, a horde of taxpayer funded QWIPL representatives and their cohorts set up a huge Marquee full of the latest disinformation.

Also as usual, the Save The Mary River Group set up a small display outside the entrance to the venue, where people on their way in or out could obtain some factual information about the project, it's impacts, and the EIS process.

For the most part, the general public stayed away from the QWIPL enclosure. At one stage in the morning, a nice lady from 3-Plus (the PR firm with the multi-million dollar contract to "sell the image" of QWIPL and the Traveston Crossing Dam) came out to beg us to come down for a look, because they were getting a bit lonely after an hour without a single visitor.

Those who ventured down were at least rewarded by a substitute for their usual Sunday arvo sports entertainment - the "QWIPL dodge and pass" game. Here's how it goes [my appologies to the chubby guy in the orange shirt - I didn't catch your name]:

Quote:
Lee: That's not my area - ask Dave.
Dave: I don't really know much about that, ask Peter.
Peter: SKM aren't responsible for that bit. Ask the chubby guy in the orange shirt.
Chubby guy: I have no idea. Hey - is that a tape recorder? You can't record this! Go and speak to Graeme.
Graeme: Sorry, I don't have that information at hand. Have you asked Lee or Peter or Dave or the chubby guy? Oh. Well in that case you'll need to phone on Monday and ask Phil.

Or, since a picture is worth a thousand words...
