Its Tuesday and still no update on Somerset, Wivenhoe and North Pine dams.
Surely they should be happy with record high levels and let people know.

Combined Dam Levels
Wivenhoe, Somerset & North Pine combined total fill:
73.33% |
| Quote: | Water level update: 22 May 09 (11AM)
Wivenhoe, Somerset and North Pine dams
Combined levels are currently 73.33% capacity: Wivenhoe 61.33%, Somerset 95.11% and North Pine Dam 99.9%. Inflows will continue into all three dams into next week, however they are slowing and reducing into Wivenhoe and North Pine.
Releases will continue out of Somerset over the weekend with a view to dropping levels closer to 90%. Somerset is reducing as it is being released into Wivenhoe. North Pine Dam gates have now been closed with the level reduced to slightly below full supply to allow for minor inflows that will continue over the coming days.
Seqwater still expects levels to reach 75% by early next week.
An update will be published on Monday 25 May. |

The SEQwater website today states that the combined levels are 73.84% (http://seqwater.com.au/index.htm). The quote is as follows:
Water level update: 25 May 09 (11AM)
Wivenhoe, Somerset and North Pine dams
| Quote: | Combined dam levels increased by .43% since Friday morning to be currently 73.68%: Wivenhoe 63.14%, Somerset 91.24%, North Pine Dam 99.80%.
Inflows are still continuing into Somerset, however inflows have slowed significantly into Wivenhoe and North Pine Dam. While inflows are expected to continue into Somerset over the next week or so, Seqwater now expects dam increases to slow significantly. Seqwater expects levels to rise above 74% this week but may well now fall short of 75% mark.
Somerset received the best of the rainfall over the weekend with falls of up to 20mm in the catchment. Wivenhoe and North Pine both received falls between 5-10mm. Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast dams remain at capacity or spilling. |
