Ms Roberts, who was elected as a One Nation MP in 2001 before turning independent a year later, today blamed her decision on "dirty politics" by the Nationals.
"A couple of months ago somebody in the media told my girls and I that the National party had said to him that they know they can't beat me at the polls, so they're going to destroy me emotionally - and they've won," Ms Roberts told ABC Radio.

| 'going to destroy me emotionally' that's a fairly serious accusation, and if it happened, then it's a fairly serious threat for someone to make against her. |

Poor popsicle. What was it thinking taking on a cattle dog.
Must have thought it was too big for it's boots. |
